Experience: Dave’s career began with a draughting cadetship with NZ Electricity and led to various design & construction roles throughout New Zealand, primarily focusing on power station & substation design & construction. With the restructure of the electrical industry, Dave took the opportunity to become a contract draughtsman, with the idea of filling in the gaps between jobs with holidays, hobbies & home maintenance. That never happened, and the avoidance of permanent job offers became an art form. Dave joined ISP as a contract draughtsman in 2002, enjoyed the work and finally accepted a permanent position 2 years later. He usually works on the larger industrial projects, but manages to fit in the odd house or two occasionally.

Experience: Garry joined ISP in 2007 as a member of the structural draughting team with extensive industrial experience in mechanical design of process plant and material handling machines. Garry started his draughting career at the pulp and paper mill at Kinleith, followed by stints at Carbonic Ice Ltd., and Southern Cross Engineering in Christchurch. Garry then settled with his family in Taupo and worked as a design and project engineer for Fletcher Wood Panels. After 14 years with Fletcher Wood Panels Garry took on a career change and gained a BAppSocSci degree. Now after a few years working as a Social Worker Garry has returned to the engineering fold.
